Olive Barcelona Cork Flooring | WECORK Avant Garde Collection
Olive Barcelona is a floating cork floor in the WECORK Avant Garde Collection. Floating planks install without adhesive, so what you feel in the sample is the surface you will live on.
Why cork
Cork holds roughly 200 million air cells per cubic inch. That structure absorbs impact and airborne sound rather than reflecting it, which matters in second-floor and multifamily installations. It acts as a natural thermal barrier, so the floor stays warm underfoot even over a slab or a basement subfloor. And it compresses and returns to near 100%, like standing on air all day. Cork is naturally hypoallergenic; the suberin in the bark resists mold, mildew, and dust mites with no chemical treatment and no VOC off-gassing. The bark is stripped every nine years and the tree is never cut.
