Monsanto Forest Cork Flooring | WECORK Avant Garde Collection
Monsanto Forest is a glue-down cork tile in the WECORK Avant Garde Collection. One of the newest patterns in the collection. Glue-down installation gives a permanent bond and the look of the full 12" x 24" installed tile.
Why cork
Cork holds roughly 200 million air cells per cubic inch. That structure absorbs impact and airborne sound rather than reflecting it, which matters in second-floor and multifamily installations. It acts as a natural thermal barrier, so the floor stays warm underfoot even over a slab or a basement subfloor. And it compresses and returns to near 100%, like standing on air all day. Cork is naturally hypoallergenic; the suberin in the bark resists mold, mildew, and dust mites with no chemical treatment and no VOC off-gassing. The bark is stripped every nine years and the tree is never cut.
