Natural Pear Corkoleum | WECORK Corkoleum Collection, Glue-Down
Natural Pear is one of three patterns in the WECORK Corkoleum Collection: glue-down cork flooring that comes in a roll rather than planks or tiles. Full rolls are 55" x 18' x 1/8", 82.88 SF, and unfinished; the recommended adhesive is Mapei Adesilex G19 or a similar rubber flooring adhesive, with Bona Traffic as the recommended finish.
Why cork
Cork holds roughly 200 million air cells per cubic inch. It absorbs impact and airborne sound rather than reflecting it, acts as a natural thermal barrier so the floor stays warm over slab and basement subfloors, and compresses and returns to near 100%, like standing on air all day. Cork is naturally hypoallergenic; the suberin in the bark resists mold, mildew, and dust mites with no chemical treatment and no VOC off-gassing. The bark is stripped every nine years and the tree is never cut.
